Money is behind the boom of reality shows as these shows have high ratings, but low costs. These shows erase the boundaries between the public and the private keeping people up with society. They also gain on getting people curistory and giving people surprise in the allotted time slot. Shows include dating and courtship and giving people the universal experience however, they are manifestly unreal and are unscripted drama. As time goes on, producers add more bells and whistles and gimmicks, eventually going completely over the top, turning off both viewers and advertisers.
